"Thor: Ragnarok" will soon hit theaters. While Chris Hemsworth's portrayal of Thor is certainly a highlight, the female antagonist Hela (Cate Blanchett) seems to be getting a lot of attention as well. In fact, the villainous character has also taken her own spotlight in the recently released "Thor: Ragnarok" featurette, Collider reported.
While it did not reveal too many details about the main antagonist, numerous fan-made theories suggest that Hela won't be an easy catch for Thor. Shortly after the first trailer has shed some light to Hela's identity, the Goddess of Death flaunted an extreme power and authority over Asgard.
Will Thor be able to overcome Hela's power?
From the looks of how the character was introduced in the sneak peek trailer, it seems that the now hammer-less superhero will have to recruit more allies to be on his side as he takes down a terrifying enemy, who wants to take control of Asgard and eliminates anyone who gets in the way.
As to how Thor will match his opponent's power in the upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok" movie, the answer remains a little fuzzy for now. Following the release of the first trailer wherein Thor was seen chained up while seemingly losing his powers, earlier predictions quickly claimed that Hela's presence would make winning more difficult for the leader of Asgard.
While this is bad news for Thor fanatics, the latest reports added that the fan-favorite superhero would show off his new powers as he comes face to face with Hela, as per Comic Book.
In the new trailer released, Thor was reportedly spotted channeling some lighting into a spinning charge attack directed at his opponent.
Thor's new power to end Hela's reign?
Hailing the villain as powerful while putting Thor's power aside is not a fair game to start with. It may be too early to make assumptions about the entire plot, but because Thor's new power has been revealed just now, Marvel Studios and film creators might have been up for a surprising "Thor: Ragnarok" twist all this time.
The official synopsis reads, "Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk, his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor's quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization."
Mark your calendars because "Thor: Ragnarok" will be hitting cinema theaters on November 3.
