The latest updates and spoilers for "Thor: Ragnarok" reveal an alternate post-credits scene for the movie. Marvel Studios confirmed that the third film will feature two-post credits scenes, but director Taika Waititi and cast member Jeff Goldblum teased several ideas for a new scene that will likely be included in the DVD and Blu-ray versions of the movie.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige discussed their plans to bring a Female Thor to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and determining the God of Thunder's future in phase 4.
A new post-credits scene
Taika Waititi and Jeff Goldblum told DigitalSpy that they have shot numerous scenes for planet Saakar featuring the Grandmaster.
"There's a Goldblum easter egg!" Goldblum said. "My character Grandmaster surprisingly reappears at the end to say something. It's one of my improvised moments! I can't remember what I say, I want to see it again! Because we said 20 things on the day."
Waititi also revealed another scene that involves singing the Sakaarian national anthem and he hopes that it could be added on DVD and Blu-ray versions of the film.
The post-credits scenes for "Thor: Ragnarok" will set up the events of "Avengers: Infinity War" as the God of Thunder will bump into the Guardians of the Galaxy, and they must journey to Earth to stop Thanos from getting the Infinity Stones.
There are also speculations that Thor will receive a new weapon replacing his damaged Mjolnir, and comic fans think that it could be Jarnbjorn or Ultimate Mjolnir.
A female Thor in the MCU?
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige teased the possibility of bringing a female Thor to the MCU as he told Fandango that elements of "Civil War" and "Planet War" were adapted to the cinematic world, and it will not be long if the studio decides to bring in new God of Thunder to the big screen.
Comic book fans are hoping that Natalie Portman's character, Jane Foster will become the new Thor in the MCU.The problem, however, is that the studio has sidelined Jane from the movies and they see Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie being worthy to hold Mjolnir.
In the comics, Jane Foster is the new God of Thunder after Thor became unworthy to lift Mjolnir in the aftermath of the "Fear Itself" arc.
Jane wields the power to command the elements using the hammer, but it came with a heavy price as her new found power also accelerated the cancer cells in her body. The new Thor became a founding member of the post-Secret Wars Avengers alongside Captain America (Sam Wilson), Iron Man, Vision, Nova (Sam Alexander), Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), and Spider-Man (Miles Morales).
