Fox introduced the all-new Marvel series, The Gifted earlier this month, and it has been the talk of the town ever since. The show features characters adapted from the "X-Men" series, and the story is connected to the "X-Men" film franchise. The story is set in an alternate timeline where the X-Men have gone missing, and it’s up to the other mutants to save the day.

The underground mutants finally saved Polaris (Lorna Dane) and Reed Strucker from the Sentinel Services, but things just got worse. Agent Jace Turner has declared war against the mutants, and the show also revealed that the Sentinel Services have been using mutants as weapons.

Polaris refuses to stand down

Fox released new trailers for “The Gifted” Episode 5, and they revealed that things are set to get rowdier. Shortly after declaring war against the mutants, Agent Jace and his men went on a witch hunt, searching every possible area where the mutants could be hiding.

They hit the jackpot when they ran into Polaris and Eclipse (Marcos Diaz). The last thing Eclipse wanted was to get into a skirmish with the Sentinel Services, but Polaris didn’t feel the same.

Polaris forced their car to head straight to where the Sentinel Services were and she decided to face their enemies head-on. She had no qualms about using her powers against the agents, and even with Marcus trying to calm her down, she just wouldn’t stand down.

More footage from other previews of the upcoming episode revealed that Polaris will be going all out once they attack the Sentinel Services. There are hints that she’ll be planning something with Reed to ambush the agents. If Agent Jace wants war, Polaris is definitely going to give it to him.

Reed Strucker tries to make amends

Another trailer for “The Gifted” episode 5 revealed that Reed will be met with scrutiny. Most of the mutants who were aware of what Reed has done in the past weren't stoked to have him around. After all, he was the one who prosecuted the mutants, and now he’s standing beside them in their underground hideout.

The Strucker siblings, Andy and Lauren, and even Thunderbird (John Proudstar) tried to calm the mutants but failed to do so.

In order to win their trust, Reed had to apologize and face the truth. Reed has faced truth a lot since finding out his children were mutants, so he’s not going to give up without trying to work things out with the underground mutants. “The Gifted” episode 5 titled “BoXed In” is scheduled to air on Monday, October 30 at 9/8c on the FOX.
