Dean Unglert and Alex Bordyukov, former contestants on Rachel Lindsay's season of "The Bachelorette," were spotted making an appearance on the set of the new season of "The Bachelor," which is starring Arie Luyendyk Jr.

Some familiar faces

Arie was the runner-up during Emily Maynard's season of "The Bachelorette." Fans did not expect to see his face again but once the initial shock wore off, the excitement for Arie's season grew and people are ready to watch him fall in love.

People reported that "The Bachelor" star took his contestants on a group date in Los Angeles at The Grove.

Dean and Alex appeared to have joined in on the fun, playing Arie's wingmen.

Bachelor Nation fans may be questioning why these two contestants are popping up on the new season because Arie does not even really know them and the answer to that has yet to be determined. Alex and Dean both took to Instagram to share photos from their day on set. Dean made a joke in his caption of a photo of the two of them with their arms around "The Bachelor" host Chris Harrison that he was "there for the wrong reasons."

Alex confirmed that the two had been on set with his own social media post and said that he appreciated Arie and the producers being "so accommodating of our trolling!" He also hashtagged the phrase "smells like Dean spirit."

Later on, Dean Unglert posted another photo of the two of them covered in fake blood and zombie makeup, which could be a potential clue about why they were on set.

The 22nd season of "The Bachelor" is set to premiere in January of 2018, so fans will have to wait until then to get the full story about why Dean and Alex tagged along on Arie's group date.

Where are they headed this season?

It was recently revealed where Arie and his contestants will travel to first this upcoming season. As "Bachelor" fans are familiar, the group starts out in Los Angeles for the first few weeks before traveling to multiple exotic locations.

According to Reality Steve, Arie and his contestants will head to Lake Tahoe during the fourth episode. It is likely that the group will travel outside of the United States during part of the season.

Last season's "Bachelor" Nick Viall and his contestants traveled to New Orleans first before heading out of the country to St. Thomas. If ABC's producers keep a similar travel schedule, Arie and some lucky ladies might be heading off to international waters soon.
