“Star Wars” fans went crazy when the second “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” official trailer was dropped at the Monday Night Football on October 9. A lot of publications dissected the teaser scene by scene while the eagle-eyed fans carefully scrutinize the latest trailer and compared it to the other videos revealed in the past.
There are some differences between the new clip, the behind-the-scenes reel, and photo teasers revealed at the recent San Diego Comic-Con 2017. If the timeline of these three are followed chronologically, it will reveal a big detail about the characters of Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
Rey’s mysterious bruise
In the previous teasers, Rey can be seen sporting a bruise on her face. But in the latest “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” teaser, her face was clear.
The Stupendous Wave reported (via Daily Express) that a fan noticed that Rey has a bruise in the images where she was on Crait. While having fun with Jon Boyega, who plays the role of Finn, Daisy Ridley was seen with a mark on her face.
However, in Rey’s intense scene with Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) at the end of the latest trailer, she doesn’t have any kind of discoloration on her skin. So, fans believed that she got her bruise before she went to Crait. This indicated that she managed to escape the First Order’s leader and someone had helped her.
Turning from the Dark Side
Ever since the new “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” trailer was revealed, a lot of fans believed that Rey will be taking the Dark Side.
Allegedly, she might accept Supreme Leader Snoke as her new master while Kylo Ren will be going back to the Resistance. "I need someone to show me my place in all of this," Rey can be heard saying.
However, it was not revealed who she was saying it to. After that, a shot of Kylo offering his hand was revealed.
There are strong assumptions that Kylo wanted to help Rey. There are also theories that when he picked his lightsaber from Snoke’s throne room, Rey was being tortured at that time. Kylo might help her to escape Snoke and they would go to Crait together.
If this happens, then this might be also the time that General Leia Organa (the late Carrie Fisher) is going to be reunited with his son. Will Kylo really join the Light Side?
However, if Rey got the bruise after her torture scene with Snoke, then this theory of Kylo saving her will be debunked. “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is set to be released on December 15 in the U.S.
