A new book called “Star Wars: Everything You Need to Know” gives new information about the mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). The book explores the world of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”

Although some details in the book are not new, it just confirmed some rumors and connected the pieces together about the movie. Aside from Snoke and Luke, “Everything You Need to Know” teased the real reason why Ben Solo, also known as Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), turned to the Dark Side.

Kylo’s turn to the Dark Side

“Star Wars: Everything You Need to Know” confirmed that Supreme Leader Snoke is a very skilled Force of the Dark Side.

He, too, has the power to effectively manipulate and persuade everyone around him like Kylo Ren. With that, Movie Web reported that Ben Solo (Harrison Ford) and Leia Organa’s (Carrie Fisher) son was just in the early part of his Jedi training with his uncle Luke when Snoke managed to turn him to the bad force.

Although this assumption is not yet proven, some believe that this is true. After Rey (Daisy Ridley) had a Force back vision in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” it hinted that there might be something that happened to Kylo that made him join the Dark Side.

The reason that pushed Kylo away

According to the “Star Wars” theorist Mike Zeroh (via Daily Express), Luke Skywalker might be the reason why Kylo Ren joined Supreme Leader Snoke and the First Order.

He pointed out that Luke’s dark past will be revealed in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” through Luke's Force back vision. Allegedly, part of the revelation is Kylo’s big secret. “Exactly what are these secrets?” he asked. Zeroh believed that the mystery surrounding his renouncement from the Light Side will be exposed.

The theorist predicted that Kylo's main reason has to do with his uncle.

He explained that “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” director J.J. Abrams admitted that he turned to the Dark Side because of negligence. Zeroh believed that he might be strongly opposing Luke’s beliefs.

Before “The Force Awakens” took place, Luke had different principles he learned from his former mentors like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Master Yoda.

Also, he had convictions from his father, Anakin Skywalker. Zeroh predicted that Mark Hamill’s character passed these ideas to his nephew.

Kylo might disagree with the master Jedi’s beliefs, believing that everything he said was wrong and not the right thing to do. Zeroh deemed that he may be surprised by his uncle’s reaction. He might have been turned off by Luke's actions, and he decided to walk away leaving everything about the Resistance behind.
