Shawn Mendes is set to release a Live Album version with tracks from his recent performances on “Mtv Unplugged,” People’s Choice reported. He was selected as the featured singer of the music network on September 8.

“Releasing my #MTVUnplugged as a live album on November 3rd!” Mendes posted a tweet and attached a photo taken from the show. He also attached a link on where fans can pre-order the album. It is available for download on Google Play, Apple Music, iTunes and Spotify.

His “MTV Unplugged” performance happened at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

With the release of his live album versions, fans can be able to get a copy of all of the songs performed during the intimate concert. While the songs from this live version came from his previous tracks, it provides fans with a version that leans toward acoustic more than the original studio version of his hits.

The album will include a total of 11 songs from his live performance. These songs include “Mercy,” “Stitches,” “Bad Reputation,” and “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back,” MTV News published in an earlier report.

Official album

Shawn Mendes’ appearance on “MTV Unplugged” was one of the greatest milestones in his career. He said there are a lot of moments "in a career that shape" him as a pop singer.

He is also set to release his official third studio album. It does not have an official release date yet but it is already in the works, the music network further reported. This will be his latest album following “Handwritten” and “Illuminate.”

“Handwritten” was released in 2015 and came in at number one on the Billboard 200 hit chart in the United States.

One of the songs, “Stitches” also reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned the number one spot on the UK Singles Chart.

Meanwhile, his second studio album “Illuminate” also had its own share of success. It landed on the top spots on the Billboard 200 and reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Mendes’ manager

Andrew Gertler, the manager of Shawn Mendes, recently appeared on a podcast interview and shared about how the pop singer rose from being a Vine cover artist to a chart-topping phenomenon. The podcast was hosted by Gary Trust and Trevor Anderson, Billboard reported.

Gertler said that the pop singer “has been listening to a lot of Kings of Leon.” From an acoustic guitar player, he was able to start his own band. He also shared that he sees his upcoming career path “as being a great frontman.”
