Filming for Game of Thrones final season has officially started, reports the Daily Mail. The cast and crew members of the show are currently in Spain. Show creators are also on the look-out for actors to play newer characters in the next installment. According to News AU.com, HBO is apparently shelling out $19 million per episode for the eighth season. According to The Sun, the show creators are also speculated to shoot multiple endings to the show. This is being done so that a plot leak does not ruin the entire experience. There is immense pressure being built on each of the members who are a part of the show, as millions of fans have high expectations for “Game of Thrones” final season.

The story until now

“Game of Thrones” season 7 concluded with a very horrifying note. The Night King with his Army of Dead and the now-converted dragon, Viseron have smashed down the 700-year-old Wall. They are fast-approaching Winterfell as their next in line target for destruction. Meanwhile, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are on the love-boat to White Harbor. Both of them are unaware of Snow’s true identity. His parents – Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen were revealed to be secretly married. This makes Jon Snow the legitimate child of a Targaryen and therefore, a rightful heir to the Iron Throne.

What does John Bradley have to say?

In an interview with The Huffington Post, John Bradley – who plays the role of Sam in “Game of Thrones” – revealed key details about what to expect next.

He confirmed that the team of directors set to work on season 8 has already been assembled. Bradley went on to mention Miguel Sapochnik and David Nutter’s names as a few creatives. They are among the major reasons why “Game of Thrones” has to manage to come with up some “standout episodes,” in the past, the actor added. He concluded his statement by saying that each of the episodes in season 8 will be “monumental.”

The final installment will include many battles and action sequences.

It is obvious that HBO wants only the best in the team who can handle such pressure. These creators have high expectations that require the assistance of an abundance of resources. A report by Variety stated that HBO will apparently shell out $19 million per episode. If this turns out to be true, then they will end up spending much more than actually speculated. Recently, Lena Headey posted a picture of behind the scenes' of the last season's shooting.
