The Season 3 finale of "Rick and Morty" concluded Sunday, 1 October. The show was an instant hit in the US. Just ahead of the premiere of season 3’s last episode, show-creator Dan Harmon sat down for an interview with Entertainment Weekly. In the interview, Harmon revealed key details about season 3’s finale and even discussed the possibility of a fourth season. He went on to state that they plan on producing not 10, but 14 episodes for “Rick and Morty” Season 4.

Evil Morty to make a comeback

There are a lot of versions of "Rick and Morty" spread across different universes.

This is a fact that was established in the very first episode of the show. The fans were introduced to the evil versions of Morty back in the first season’s 10th episode. The segment titled, “Close Rick-counters of the Rick Kind,” revolved around the Citadel of Ricks. In this episode, Rick was forced to stand before the council of Ricks and justify the murder that he was being accused of doing. All the while, everyone assumed that it was some personality of Rick’s that had been committing the crime. Towards the end of the episode, that Evil Morty was behind the ruckus.

It is rumored that Evil Morty is going to make a comeback in season 4. The upcoming season is expected to be much funnier.

More emphasis on Jerry’s marriage with Beth

Rick’s daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Jerry are mostly seen arguing over their dissatisfied marriage. They have their share of screen time but the ideas essentially revolve around their relationship. In “Rick and Morty” season 3, episode 1 titled, “The Rickshank Rickdemption,” Beth was seen heading for a divorce from Jerry.

She only later realized that what they have is true and pure and decided against it. More emphasis will be laid on their (not-so) troublesome relationship.

Morty and Summer to age

Even though, most of “Rick and Morty” revolves around the fragment of its show-creators’ imagination – much of it is also similar to real life. For example, Harmon and Roiland spend enough time upon laying importance on important subjects in the show but take a comical approach.

The next installment will witness both Morty and Summer aging. This will give writers more content to produce and showcase. There are so many subjects that still remain untouched. Rick, Jerry, and Beth will also age, but more importance lies upon the siblings. There is no precise date as to when the next season will premiere.
