Even after completing their mission, Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and McGee (Sean Murray), couldn't go to work at once in "NCIS" season 15 episode 2. Instead, they need to get back on their old selves first before returning to their office. Meanwhile, NCIS will be dealing with a new case that will make the show more interesting.

Gibbs and McGee's predicament

The two agents will need some time to recover from the traumatic situation they were in while in South America. They will, both, need to seek the assistance of a psychiatrist in order to heal.

To recall, it was featured in the previous episode that the agents were saved from the hands of the rebels after months of torture and incarceration.

Apparently, it wouldn't be easy for Gibbs and McGee to forget their experience. As a matter of fact, it will have a lasting effect to both of them, which is why it is imperative that they meet Dr. Grace Confalone (Laura San Giacomo). The doctor will assess the agents, and they need to pass a psych evaluation before they could officially resume their work.

In the promo video of "NCIS" season 15, it shows McGee and Gibbs talking to each other. McGee asked Gibbs why he appeared okay even if he is not. Gibbs is handling it well to make it look that he is doing well when he actually feels the exact opposite. The two gave each other a tight hug to show that they will support each other. The video shows that the two really needs the help of Dr. Confalone and the viewers are hoping that they could make a complete recovery soon.

NCIS new case

The synopsis of "NCIS" season 15, episode 2 titled "Twofer" reveal that the NCIS will investigate a new case. It involves a missing body of a Navy lieutenant which will be discovered in a local cemetery. This man disappeared a year ago, and his body was only found when the cemetery ground crews were moving some caskets.

The promo of the next episode features an old casket where the body is contained.

It was revealed when the coffin crashed on the ground from an excavator. With this, the NCIS needs to investigate who killed the Navy lieutenant and what is the reason behind his death. They need to know who wants him dead and capture them. It is seen in the short teaser trailer that Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) is leading the investigation of the case. This is another interesting case that fans of the show will no doubt love.

"NCIS" season 15, episode 2 is set to air on Oct. 3, Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
