The pre-pageant activities of Miss World 2017 have started and all of this year’s contestants are enjoying their time in china. Miss World is one of the most prestigious pageants in the world along with Miss Universe and Miss International.
As soon as the candidates arrived in Sanya, a city in Hainan Province, they went straight to rehearse for “Dances of the World.” This round of the competition features the ladies wearing their national costumes and gives them the opportunity to present a dance routine that is native to their respective countries.
Fiji’s representative, Nanise Rainima performed a heartfelt act which brought the pageant judges to tears during the talent auditions held in Shenzhen on October 25, The Fiji Times Online reported. She played the piano and sang an original piece.
Rainima dedicated her performance to her late grandmother who survived cancer before passing away a few years ago. The pageant organizers have chosen her to sing with the candidates from England and Malta during the auction event of their national gifts which was held on October 26. They sang the Miss World anthem titled “Light The Passion, Share The Dream.”
