Melissa Gorga is back for another season of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" and she's excited about what her co-stars are up to this season. Melissa herself did experience some heartbreak while the show was on hiatus, as her business partner Jackie decided to empty out their shared store and took all of their inventory to Melissa's competitor. This "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star decided she needed to

According to a new report, Melissa Gorga is now speaking out about the cake incident that has gotten major attention on social media over the past couple of weeks.

While Gorga and Teresa seem to think that this was just a hilarious reaction, Siggy - who had bought the cake - took personal offense to the throwing of the cake. When Gorga called it a minor thing on social media, Flicker accused her of trying to spin the story in her favor.

Had fun despite losing the cake

"It was absolutely gorgeous, and I thanked her. I had no idea Teresa was going to throw it in my face, but it was all in good fun," Melissa Gorga explains in her Bravo blog, revealing that Teresa threw the cake in her face out of nowhere, adding, "And before I knew it I had cake in my face! Hey, just a bunch of Jersey girls in Florida, drinking and having a little fun! We did get to eat the cake first and it was soooo good."

Melissa's co-stars joked that they would have to tell the restaurant that they were from New Jersey as a way to apologize for their bad behavior.

It sounds like Melissa didn't really care that there was cake all over the floor, but Siggy took offense to it. As she pointed out during the episode, she had spent money on the cake and truly made an effort picking the elements. She even had one section of the cake look like the wallpaper in Gorga's store.

Siggy Flicker is angry

It's clear that Siggy Flicker is angry. She had planned out the birthday party and she had gotten a chef in Boca Raton to decorate the cake for Melissa's birthday. Based on the previews for the upcoming episodes, it sounds like Siggy will be haunted by the cake-throwing incident and she will hold a grudge towards her co-star.

Melissa may feel she did nothing wrong and she may not feel like she needs to apologize to Siggy. Fans haven't really shared their thoughts on the matter, but this is not the first time that a cake has caused a split in friendships on a "Real Housewives" show.

What do you think about Melissa Gorga's explanation about the cake-throwing incident? Do you think she was just having fun or being disrespectful towards Flicker, who had made an effort?
