However, it is a big question if the 36-year-old actress’ father, Tom Markle, has approved of her romance with the duke. According to the Daily Mail’s source, the award-winning cinematographer already knew his daughter’s relationship with the royal before they revealed it to the world.

Tom Markle remains silent about Meghan Markle’s relationship with Prince Harry.
But, an insider revealed that the patriarch is happy for her daughter. "Tom will sometimes call so I know how he's doing,” the informant, who was said to be Tom’s neighbor named Allison Leber, said. The father-of-two reportedly disclosed that he is pleased that the “Suits” actress’ boyfriend is Prince William’s brother. He, too, is thankful that he has found the kind of love she is looking for on him.
“He never expected this,” Leber added. He also revealed that Tom is still in awe that he is going to walk his daughter down the aisle at Westminster Abbey when they are set to be married. “He's happy as long as Meghan is happy," he added.
Meghan being likened to Princess Diana, Middleton
Meanwhile, the Independent reported that Meghan Markle’s coming in Prince Harry’s life is really unexpected.
She is being likened to the prince’s late mother, Princess Diana, and the qualities she has that can’t easily be described. Also, she is being compared to Kate Middleton, who is being criticized by the media for her being quiet but also loved by a lot of people.
Unlike his brother, Prince Harry is said to be bold and as not as modest as Prince William.
These traits he has is said to be similar to Meghan’s characteristics. They are both joyful and self-assured.
"She's clearly very self-assured, fearless even,” royal author Katie Nicholl told Grazia. So, she is considered as a “breath of fresh air” for being part of the royal family. She had her own personality and known for who she is; thus the royals cannot simply ask her to project an image that they want.
Meghan stands her ground and knows what she really wants to achieve. She, too, is never intimidated by the royals. She is taking everything calmly and won’t be easily influenced. She is even handling her venture to the royal family with grace and confidence. “You haven't seen anyone like this since Diana," Nicholl added.
