Maks Chmerkovskiy and Vanessa Lachey were embroiled in feud rumors after the "Dancing With The Stars" pro took some time off from the dance floor last week. Although it was said that the instructor had to deal with some personal issues, rumor has it that he and his celebrity partner do not get along and were having chemistry issues since the new season premiered a few weeks ago.
Hence, Vanessa Lachey had to perform with Alan Bersten during Maks Chmerkovskiy's no-show on the third week of the competition. The two-time "Dancing with the Stars" runner-up later thanked his substitute and apologized to his celebrity counterpart for the sudden absence.

On Monday, the Ukrainian-American dancer finally made his comeback to reunite with his partner for the "Most Memorable Year" episode. The pair performed an emotional rumba set for "Godspeed (Sweet Dreams)" by Nick Lachey, which earned them a score of 24 out of 30 points.
Maks Chmerkovskiy and Vanessa Lachey secured the fourth spot with four other couples after the live performance on Monday. Speaking with ET Online, the "Truth Be Told" alum expressed her gratitude to her partner for being a "great teacher" during rehearsals.
Although the whole process of learning a new dance routine was difficult for her, Vanessa Lachey is still thankful of how the pro has helped her up until the live show.
Maks Chmerkovskiy, on the other hand, seemingly addressed his alleged feud with his celebrity partner after the emotional performance.

In an Instagram post, the 37-year-old instructor has set the record straight on his relationship with the former beauty queen.
Unlike rumors questioning their chemistry on and off the dance floor, Maks Chmerkovskiy has had nothing but praise for Vanessa Lachey for doing a great job on the "Dancing with the Stars" stage.
"Everything I ever want for my partners is literally what [Vanessa Lachey] has brought to the dance floor last night," he captioned their photos.
"Raw, unapologetic, real emotion expressed through a beautiful dance."
He went on to reveal that it was his first time to feel emotional before a dance performance. The father of one then commended his celebrity partner as he looked forward to share more memorable moments with her in the upcoming weeks of the competition.
"They can say what they want but you’re a star and I wouldn’t want to be on this rollercoaster with anyone but you!" Maks Chmerkovskiy added.
