Maks Chmerkovskiy sparked an alleged feud with Vanessa Lachey after his no-show during last week's episode. According to show host Erin Andrews, the pro had to take a breather from the ballroom to deal with some personal issues. No further details were provided to explain his sudden absence from the dance competition.

Hence, Vanessa Lachey was left in the hands of Alan Bersten, who stepped in for the absence of the Ukrainian-American dancer. Maks Chmerkovskiy was later accused of having "chemistry conflict" with his celebrity counterpart, compelling him to take some time off from the program.

A source claimed that the duo has been bickering and do not get along since the new season kicked off four weeks ago. Rumor has it that the "Dancing With The Stars" pair has been faking their good relationship for the dance show.

The conflict between the two reportedly escalated before Maks Chmerkovskiy decided to skip the third week of the competition. The pro, however, apologized to Vanessa Lachey for his absence, but refused to address his alleged feud with his celebrity counterpart.

On Monday, the two-time "Dancing with the Stars" runner-up finally reunited with the former beauty queen for the "Most Memorable Year" episode. Maks Chmerkovskiy and Vanessa Lachey performed a rumba set for Nick Lachey's "Godspeed (Sweet Dreams)" that earned them a score of 24 out of 30 points.

The two shared fourth place with four other couples, while Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold notched first place with a score of 29 out of 30 points. Despite the alleged feud between Maks Chmerkovskiy and Vanessa Lachey, the celebrity contestant has nothing but adoration for dance partner.

"[Maks] is a great teacher, and I listen as the student 'cause this is not something I do -- ballroom dance," she told ET Online. "He taught me a rumba. I have never moved my hips like that before in my entire life."

The "Disaster Movie" star also revealed that she has sustained a minor injury during their intense rehearsals, but despite the struggles to learn a new dance routine, Vanessa Lachey is still satisfied and happy of how her partner has helped her during the live performance.

The 36-year-old mother of three admitted that she was initially worried about the emotional dance, but having Maks Chmerkovskiy beside her, Vanessa Lachey was able to pull off the rumba set without any trouble.
