Scott Disick and Sofia Richie have been out and about flaunting major PDA the past weeks. Her father, Lionel Richie, released a statement recently admitting that he is scared to death regarding the reports that his 19-year-old daughter is dating the 34-year-old ex of Kourtney Kardashian.
Lionel was at the “American Idol” auditions in New York City on October 4 and told Us Weekly that he is in shock and that is not surprising since he is Sofia’s father. The multi-Grammy winner was asked if he was happy about his daughter dating Disick, but he answered in the negative.
Lionel said he is Scared To Death. Disick has been seen with younger women in the past since his 2015 July break-up with the mother of his three kids. It is unclear if Disick's past reputation regarding cheating on Kardashian a number of times affected Lionel's views about him.
Timeline of Disick and Sofia’s romance
Disick and Sofia were first linked and sparked dating rumors early in September when they were in New York City together. On September 23, Disick posted a photo of him with Sofia while they were in Miami making them official. The photo was posted on the Instagram stories of Disick.
Earlier this month, the two were spotted in Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. They were again photographed kissing and flaunting major PDA.
Sofia was linked to Disick weeks after he sparked dating rumors with former Disney star Bella Thorne, who is also 19.

According to Mirror, a source told the publication that Sofia is very smitten with Disick and that the two have been inseparable since they made things official between them. The two are said to be very flirty and that Sofia looks up to Scott.
Also, Disick reportedly pays for everything and is a true gentleman as he opens the car door for her.
What Kourtney Kardashian thinks about the Disick-Sofia relationship
Us Weekly also reported that Kardashian, the mother of the three children he has with her, feels like the fling is weird but it did not shock her. However, Kardashian still hopes Disick will be back to his old self especially because they have three kids together namely Mason, Penelope, and Reign.
Although they are no longer together after they split in 2015 when cheating rumors once again plagued their relationship, Kardashian reportedly still wants the best for the former model and that she wants him to be happy.
Kardashian, on the other hand, has been busy with her new relationship. She is now dating model Younes Bendjima.
