The latest updates and spoilers for "Legends of tomorrow" season 3 will feature Matt Ryan reprising his role as John Constantine and join the Legends in their missions. Executive producer Phil Klemmer told Rotten Tomatoes that the latter will perform some sort of exorcism in one episode this season.

Co-producer Marc Guggenheim talks about Rip Hunter's new role as leader of the Time Bureau and how they operate differently from his former teammates. He also explains the difference between time anachronisms and aberrations.

Who is John Constantine?

In the DC comics, John Constantine is a paranormal investigator and practitioner of the mystical dark arts, specializing in hunting and sending demons back to hell.

The character became popular in the "Hellblazer" series published by Vertigo comics before his transition into the DC Universe in the "New 52" era.

John became the founding member of Justice League Dark alongside Zatanna, Dead Man, Andrew Bennett, Frankenstein, Swamp Thing, Madame Xanadu, and Shade, the Changing Man. The team specializes in dealing with supernatural threats that the main Justice League team cannot handle.

Matt Ryan played John Constantine in his self-titled TV series on NBC before the CW Network bought the rights to the show and character for the "Arrowverse." John first appeared in the fourth season of "Arrow" as he helped Oliver Queen and Team Arrow bring Sara Lance's soul back to her body.

Legends vs Time Bureau

It seems that the Legends team will face Rip Hunter's new Time Bureau in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 3 as Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly that Rip's team handle threats in a professional and proper manner.

The Legends, on the other hand, are deemed reckless and they break a lot of rules just to save the day.

Rip created the Time Bureau after his former teammates broke the fabric of time and space in season 2, causing more harm than good. Both teams will be at odds with each other as Sara thinks that her crew is more suited to handle more dangerous threats.

Guggenheim also revealed the difference between time aberrations and anachronisms. He stated that anachronism is an error in the timestream were in people, places, and things are displaced in different time periods. Unlike aberrations, these things did not just happen after messing with the past or the future, and they are just simply misplaced or lost in a different era.

Season 3 will feature a new enemy in the form of Amaya Jewie's granddaughter, Kuasa and she will be joined by Damien Darhk and Gorilla Grodd.
