Although Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are not together on “The Voice,” the couple’s relationship remains strong. In fact, there are reports that they are planning to get wedded someday.
Unfortunately, fans won’t see them again every week as mentors in the reality talent show, but their promise to be committed to each other will stay the same. A source even told Entertainment Weekly that they are looking forward to having their own baby.
Building a family of their own
“More important to them right now is having a baby together,” a source told EW.
The insider revealed that Gwen Stefani wants nothing else but to give Blake Shelton his first child.
The 41-year-old crooner has been dying to have his own baby. And as he loves the former "No Doubt" frontwoman’s children as his own, he believes that he could also be a good father.
This was proven by the way he protects his artists in “The Voice.” In his interview with Entertainment Tonight, Miranda Lambert’s former husband admitted that he never thought that he would be so defensive when he read “a blog or critique” about the apprentices. He admitted that he can’t help himself being protective, especially in his first and second rounds on the television show. He even said that he might lose his mind if he saw someone "picking on a kid."
A big happy family
Blake Shelton also talked about the grand opening of his new restaurant called Ole Red in Oklahoma.
He was accompanied by Gwen Stefani, her kids – Kingston (11), Zuma (9), and Apollo (3) – and her whole family.
Shelton narrated that it was a fun experience to bring Stefani’s whole family out of the country. "They love it so much,” he said. He also added that when he said that it included his girlfriend’s clan, it meant everyone from her father and mother, to her brother.
He was happy to share that they had so much fun that it looked like they were maybe too joyful. “It's probably not legal in California,” he joked. There were even times that they were composed of 30-plus family members from both sides, especially during holiday gatherings.
‘The Voice’ Season 14’s new judges
Meanwhile, “The Voice” announced the new judges that will be joining Blake Shelton and Adam Levine in Season 14.
Unfortunately, fans won’t see the return of Gwen Stefani. Alicia Keys will be returning to take the judge’s seat again along with the new mentor Kelly Clarkson. Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson, too, are not set to return.
