Another star from the highly acclaimed HBO television series, “Game of Thrones” has decided to tie the knot soon. Actress Sophie Turner has just revealed that she is now engaged to her boyfriend Joe Jonas.
Though it will probably take a while before fans hear the wedding bells, messages of encouragement and congratulations have already poured in for the young British actress and her DNCE singer. The two have been seeing each other quite a long time and the news of them finally getting married has made jaws drop from all over the world.
Couple flaunts engagement ring
The 21-year old English actress surprised the world when she updated her official Instagram account and posted a photo of her hand wearing her new diamond ring, which was paired with a simple caption saying she had said 'yes,' implying the obvious, that Jonas has proposed to her and she has agreed to marry him. In addition, 28-year old Jonas also announced their engagement on his official Instagram account with the same photo, but this time captioned with “She said yes.”
The two have been dating since November 2016 and it seems like that they are just head over heels for each other. For almost a year since they were first spotted together at the pre-MTV Europe Music Awards Kings of Leon in the Netherlands, Turner and Jonas never confirmed nor denied that they were dating, but they had no qualms in getting caught together and getting chummy in public.
Another wedding to look forward to
Fans are happy for Turner and Jonas, but they are more stoked about the fact that another “Game of Thrones” star is getting married. English actor Kit Harington announced his engagement to co-star Rose Leslie on September 27 and the two have been dating since 2012.
Turner and Jonas have yet to reveal the date of their wedding, but fans might not be surprised if it happens sooner than expected.
The “Barely Lethal” actress and Jonas are clearly not taking it slow as the two recently adopted a Siberian Husky puppy together.
With this great news, Joe will be the next Jonas Brothers member to get hitched and his brothers especially Nick, who is ecstatic about the news that he’s even congratulated the two on his official social media accounts.
The oldest Jonas brother, Kevin got married in December 2009 and already has two daughters.
Aside from their booming love life, Turner is also preoccupied with her rising acting career. Ever since she landed the role of Sansa Stark in “Game of Thrones,” the actress has starred in popular productions including “X-Men: Apocalypse.” She’s set to star in three new movies that are scheduled to release this year and she will be reprising her role as the young Jean Grey in “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” that has been slated to premiere next year.
