It's always fun to watch the cast and crew of one's favorite, long-running TV shows through the years. As their on-screen counterparts drop by the TV screens once a week, viewers also find themselves following the personal lives of actors and actresses on the show through social media and the news. Recently,

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" actor and producer Andy Samberg surprised viewers when he announced that he was a new dad to a baby girl.

This was roughly a year after his co-star, Melissa Fumero, also gave birth to a baby boy in March 2016. Now, another star from the FOX comedy is making big leaps, and this time it's Stephanie Beatriz, who plays Rosa Diaz on the show. In fact, PEOPLE reported that the 36-year old just got engaged to her boyfriend, Brad Hoss. He proposed to her over the weekend.

No diamond rings for the engaged couple

For "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Stephanie Beatriz, it was important that her engagement ring "[reflected] my personality and personal values," she told PEOPLE. The ring was created by Joy Smith from Communion by Joy, and was made from ethically sourced stones.

Beatriz's ring, in particular, was a rose-gold and pear morganite. Similarly, Beatriz's character on the Golden Globe Award-winning comedy series is also engaged, but it seems that Rosa Diaz won't get her happy ending just yet.

Rosa thinks Pimento is cheating

A new TV Guide exclusive preview of the upcoming episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" shows a reunited Rosa Diaz and Adrian Pimento (guest star Jason Mantzoukas), but it seems that Rosa is smelling something fishy about him. While Sgt. Terry Jeffords comments that it may just be their time spent apart due to Rosa's imprisonment, Rosa thinks otherwise.

Detective to question her life choices

Stephanie Beatriz recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly to talk about her character's trajectory this season on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." She explained that while everyone in the squad is "moving forward in their lives," Rosa will feel as if she's stuck.

Beatriz explained that this "makes her really question her relationship with Adrian and try to pull it apart and figure out why it doesn’t seem like the right fit for her." While a breakup seems imminent for the two, it will be sad to see Jason Mantzoukas go, given that he's been a regular guest star for the past few seasons of the show. Nonetheless, it will open up Rosa for a new love interest, which "Jane the Virgin" star Gina Rodriguez is already wanting to play. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" airs on Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. on FOX.
