Fans of "Vikings" are eager to watch the show as it returns for Season 5. The season premiere is a two-hour special and there is more good news for fans: Season 6 has already been confirmed.

With Ragnar and Ecbert dead, many are wondering about the fate of shipbuilder, Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård). Everyone knows that the Viking elder is once Ragnar's closest ally. Is his story over?

The latest trailer of "Vikings" season 5 shows Floki's conquest while he marvels at a waterfall in a territory that he newly discovered, which is in Iceland. The dream sequence shows that he will meet a powerful figure as he sees a human form shaping from the water.

In the said scene, Floki is alone after he lost his wife during the invasion of England. He walks towards the waterfalls as the water flows in reverse. He slowly kneels down while the figure approaches him. The scene is similar to Ragnar’s (Travis Fimmel) vision of Valhalla in the previous season.

Who is this powerful figure? Could this be the god Loki? The twin horns on the figure's helmet seem to resemble that of Loki. Looking at the significance of the vision, it is really possible that Loki will show himself to Floki since Ragnar saw a vision prior his death. Hence, it is possible that Floki will meet his creator at the end of season 5.

Ivar's apology

Another sneak peek video for "Vikings" season 5 shows Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) apologizing for killing his brother Sigurd (David Lindström) just to get the crown.

It is apparent that Ivar dreams to be the king of Kattegat and that he would do anything to achieve that which includes slaughtering his own brother.

Will Ivar stop a civil war because of his apology? It appears that his apology is useless since there will indeed be a war between the sons of Ragnar. Ivar will also try to settle his feud with new character Heahmund (Jonathan Rhys Meyers).

To recall, Heahmund appeared in the final episode of season 4 and it looks like he has a significant role in the upcoming season. He is a religious warrior who will try to unite England against the foreign invaders.

Civil war

The consequence of Ragnar's death will be dealt this season. Aside from the feud between the brothers, there will be a civil war.

The younger generation of warriors will fight for the legacy of Ragnar and will even try to surpass him in glory.

Watch "Vikings" season 5 which will premiere on November 29 for a two-hour special on History.
