Tyler Baltierra and his wife Catelynn Lowell were on "16 & Pregnant" when they were just teenagers. They were pregnant with a baby girl and they had named her Carly before birth. But the two quickly realized that they were in no position to take care of a baby. While they did have each other, their families were troubled and they had no wishes of bringing their daughter into their family units.

Despite their decision to give Carly up for adoption, the pair was chosen to film "Teen Mom OG" because they brought a different story to the network. While many of the girls chose to keep their babies, Catelynn and Tyler gave Carly up to a lovely couple.

Since the adoption happened years ago, Tyler and Catelynn have moved on with their lives. Even though they have an open adoption and see their biological daughter once in a while, they are now the parents to another young girl and they have launched a business.

On social media, Tyler and his wife can't stop promoting the business. Even though they are focused on making it a success, some fans still remember their adoption pain. According to a new Instagram post, Tyler Baltierra was busy promoting the business when a follower reached out about helping others in similar situations.

Issue is close to his heart

Of course, the issue of adoption is close to his heart, as he gave up his daughter to another family.

So when Briana DeJesus faced the issue of adoption on "Teen Mom 2," some viewers were surprised that she didn't reach out to Tyler and Catelynn for advice. They all seem so close in the MTV family.

"I hope the business is doing well. I'm so happy for you and your family. On a side note, I wish that Brianna from TM would have reached out to you guys about adoption.

I think she needed an outside push/support, other than her family," the follower wrote to Tyler.

Even though Briana is new to the "Teen Mom 2" franchise, she was on "Teen Mom 3" before the idea was scratched by productions.

Not an easy decision

Giving up a child for adoption isn't easy and Tyler would probably advise her on the matter.

Despite having an optional relationship with Carly's adoptive parents, it was rough for Tyler to have limits as to what he could do. He couldn't share pictures of Carly on social media and he wasn't allowed to film her for "Teen Mom 2." He really wanted to, but it was hard for him to accept that she had new parents.

What do you think of Tyler Baltierra's followers still seeing him as the face of adoption? Are you surprised Briana didn't reach out to him?
