“The Walking Dead” season 7 finale ended with all the other groups in unison to fight against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his group. In Alexandria, Rick’s group was cornered by the psychopathic leader of The Saviors. Just when he was about to blow Carl Grimes’ (Chandler Riggs) head with his baseball bat Lucille, King Ezekiel’s (Khary Payton) pet tiger Shiva went to the rescue. The tiger attacked Negan’s group together with the rest of The Kingdom fighters that caused them to retreat and ran away. Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) was also present during the deadly battle and the actor hinted that his character’s imminent danger in the show.
Will Daryl meet his end?
Norman Reedus recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly to discuss what “The Walking Dead” has in store for everyone once the upcoming installment premieres in October. He said that his character, the usual hot-headed Daryl, will set off on his own mission maybe to take down Negan and his group, The Saviors. "You know, some of us are going rogue a little bit — like myself. There are a couple of rogue moments in there," he told Entertainment Weekly. "He's on a mission to do one thing, and sometimes for the good of the group, you veer left a little bit, and he's still veering right," he said
Daryl is going rascal
Based on what he said, it looks like his character is going to do what needs to be done after their group was attacked by The Saviors during the season finale of “The Walking Dead.” Daryl is often impulsive and his temper is what makes him alive.
Since he appeared in the series and started to show his unprecedented aggression, many fans began to grow fond of him. Despite his strong impulses, he is often seen as a selfless and caring person, especially among his friends, which is why Rick (Andrew Lincoln) trusts him.
Daryl Dixon
Reedus’ character in “The Walking Dead” has saved the lives of his friends many times and, despite being volatile and aggressive, he developed a close friendship with Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride).
Later in the show, he had grown closer to Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) because of her innocence, who told her that the world still has a lot of good people. Daryl has also shown his vulnerable side and cries whenever he loses a friend. He also blamed himself for Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson) and Glenn Rhee’s (Steven Yeun) deaths.
“The Walking Dead” returns to screens for its eighth season on October 22 on AMC.
