“The Flash” Season 4 will see a different Iris West and Barry Allen. However, the pair will still try to work out their relationship despite these differences when the new season returns.

According to Screen Rant, Candice Patton and Grant Gustin’s titular roles will go through a couple therapy in season 4. There are several potential reasons as to why they would decide to do this. The previous season was a traumatic experience for Team Flash.

Barry Allen spent months to prevent Iris’ death, which big bad Savitar planned since the beginning of the season.

Thanks to HR Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Iris managed to survive. Unfortunately, there are consequences that led to HR’s death and following this tragic incident is Barry’s exit as he entered the Speed Force.

Funny stuff coming up

Fighting villains is a given thing when it comes to a superhero series like “The Flash.” On the other hand, viewers do not have to worry as season 4 is also set to bring back the fun in the series. Candice Patton revealed this during Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in New Jersey.

The 29-year-old actress revealed, “Barry and Iris have to go to couples therapy and kind of work through those issues. So there’s some really funny stuff coming up.” Allen will return with a bit darker disposition in season 4 but it’s a relief that things will be “lighthearted and funny” in the upcoming installment.

When Barry returns, viewers will notice the development of his abilities and change in appearance (he’s got the beard!). While couple’s therapy aims to fix the relationship, the disadvantage still remains. We cannot rule out the fact that Barry Allen is The Flash. They have to make a careful decision whether to let a psychiatrist know about this detail.

After all, being the Scarlet Speedster contributes to 99 percent of the problem. In the end, Screen Rant reported that Iris West and Barry Allen are confirmed to tie the knot in season 4. Love wins!

‘The Flash’ villains in season 4

It was reported that “Battlestar Galactica” actress Katee Sackhoff will appear in season 4. She will star as the Blacksmith.

In addition is Sugar Lyn Beard, who will guest star as luck altering villain Hazard.

As for the goodbyes, Tom Felton is confirmed not to return in the series as Julian Dorn. It was suggested that his blossoming relationship with Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) might come to an end. “The Flash” season 4 returns on October 10, 2017, and more updates will be revealed soon.
