Jim Parsons revealed to Parade the secret behind the success of “The Big Bang Theory” series. He told the publication that the show is famous because the storyline is funny and thoughtful at the same time.

“We’re not solving a new mystery every week, so you’re not gonna get a fresh story in that way,” Jim explained to the news outlet. “If you don’t want to watch these particular characters relate to each other, you’re not gonna want to come back,” the actor went on.

Aside from the interesting plot and the witty lines, it cannot be denied that the complex, hilarious and intelligent characters of the show – Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg), Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar), Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), Bernadette Rostenkowski (Melissa Rauch) and Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) -- are among the reasons why fans continue to follow the show.

Additionally, Parsons shared that “Young Sheldon” will take fans back to when Sheldon enters his freshman year in high school at age 9. Devoted viewers of the series will also get to know his family, including his twin sister named Missy Cooper (Raegan Revord).
