Will sees the monster

A new poster for the second season of "Stranger Things" teased the possible connection between Will Byers and the gigantic monster that is about to invade Hawkins, Indiana from the "Upside-Down" world. The new monster was teased during the SDCC 2017 trailer after Will was suddenly pulled back from the other world.

The poster shows Will looking outside of his house as the sky' turns red and the shadowy figure of the monster tries to make his way towards the boy. With that being said, the question on everyone's mind is that what is that creature and why is it after him?

Show co-creator Ross Duffer told US Weekly in a previous interview that Noah Schapp's character will have a more "sinful" role in season 2 and the experience he had from the other side will haunt him and drive him insane. Fans have speculated that Will Byers could develop special abilities from that world and turns evil in the process, attacking his friends and family.

Barb and Eleven

The Duffer Brothers announced that "Stranger Things" season 2 will address Barb's death and Eleven's personal growth in the show.

The show creators told TV Line that Barb's death will have a huge effect on Nancy Wheeler and the repercussions of her demise will be explored throughout the show.

Barb was captured and killed by the Demogorgon in the Upside-Down world during the events of the first season and Nancy has been trying to find with help of Will's older brother, Jonathan.

As for Eleven, Matt Duffer teased that she will have a different journey and she will go through adolescence like any other normal kid her age. Ross Duffer teased fans of a more "emotional" Eleven in the series.

"I will say that I think that [Eleven's] journey this season is very different than what people will expect," Ross Duffer said."You know, we knew Mille [Bobbi Brown] was good when we cast her, but she blew us away just like everyone else in season 1 so we really wanted to put her on an emotional rollercoaster ride."

Season 2 will also introduce new characters for the show such as Max, Billy, and Keith.

David Harbour teased that Jim Hopper's deceased daughter will have an important role in the show's plot and it will more about the latter's mysterious past before the events of the first season.

"Stranger Things" season 2 will premiere on Oct. 27 on Netflix.
