The latest updates and spoilers for "Stranger Things" Season 2 will feature the Duffer brothers teasing a cliffhanger by the end of this season. The sophomore arc will also reveal an emotional storyline for Millie Bobbie Brown's character Eleven in the show.

Cliffhanger teased?

The Duffer brothers revealed new details for "Stranger Things" season 2 during the Emmy Awards as they told TVLine that show would explore the aftermath of Barb's death and how it affected Nancy Wheeler, but there will not be any flashback scenes or appearances from Shannon Percer's character.

The showrunner also stated a mysterious cliffhanger by the end of the season and rated it to be at least seven out of ten. While they did not reveal much about the cliffhanger, it could serve as the next clues for the upcoming season of the hit sci-fi Netflix series.

Executive producer Shawn Levy confirmed that they would continue to produce "Stranger Things" on the online streaming channel and the series could end after its fourth season. Of course, there is a chance that plans could change depending on its ratings and success, and the showrunners are willing to pay more to keep the show alive.

More on Eleven

The Duffer brothers also teased an "emotional" arc for Eleven during season 2 as she will go through adolescence while still learning to master her powers in the show.

Eleven was first introduced as a lost and confused little girl with telekinetic and telepathic abilities. She was being experimented by the scientists of Hawkins labs and was used as a weapon for their missions. She eventually escaped their custody and ended up in the woods where she met Mike Wheeler and his friends.

The latter survived her encounter with the Demogorgon during the season 2 trailer.

Eleven is now trying to find her way back to the real world from the "Upside-down" world and finds doorway through Hawkins middle-school hallway.

Season 2 will also feature the terrible changes in Will Byers' body as his time from the other world is slowly haunting him to the point losing his mind. Fans have speculated that Will could exhibit powers from the other world and turn evil in the process, attacking his friends and family.

The monsters from the Upside-down world are slowly making their way towards the real world, and it is up to Mike, Jonathan Byers, Jim Hopper, and the rest of the main cast to stop the invasion and save Hawkins from succumbing to their darkness.

"Stranger Things" season 2 will premiere on Oct. 27 on Netflix.
