“Star Wars: Rebels” Season 4 gets its second trailer and it hints how intense the television show’s final bow will be. “Star Wars” official YouTube channel unveiled the new teaser along with its official release date, which will be on Oct. 16.

The animated series’ swan song is said to be epic with the coming of mystical Force wolves, “Rogue One” characters, and Chopper with its new Pittsburgh Penguins-like paint. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Dave Filoni talked about things that are going to happen and his dream of a grand reunion.

The confusion of their true calling

Dave Filoni revealed that the Ghost’s crew will be joining the Rebellion in “Star Wars: Rebels” Season 4.

The 43-year-old animation director admitted that the Rebels never really won at the previous season finale.

In fact, they just got away. The battle resulted in losing a lot of their resources and the advantage to free Lothal and defeating the Imperial factory. Although they now have less of what they’ve got, Sabine Wren (Tiya Sircar) will do everything to pay the people who have helped them.

As Ezra Bridger (Taylor Gray) receives an order from the Force, he is now figuring it out if it is his true calling. However, he is not the only one who is confused about the things happening as his instructor Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr.) is also having a hard time to find his real purpose.

As his relationship with Hera Syndulla (Vanessa Marshall) is getting real serious, the Ghost pilot’s career in the Rebellion is now mounting up.

Zeb (Steve Blum), Rex (Dee Bradley Baker), and Chopper are also trying to find their place in this ongoing movement.

Dreaming of a grand reunion

Aside from the Rebellion movement, “Star Wars: Rebels” Season 4’s new trailer also mentioned the name of the Death Star special weapons supervisor Director Orson Krennic.

Although he will never be seen in the animated series’ swan song, Dave Filoni explained that there is some kind of satisfaction in involving these characters that have been part of the “Star Wars” world.

In fact, he actually visions a major scene where the franchise’s greatest villains will be reunited, but his budget might not permit him to do so.

He revealed to EW that he is actually imaging a sequence with Vader, Krennic and the Emperor altogether. He also envisions including Tarkin and Thrawn in this scene, but it may end up looking like a group of major protagonists planning the evilest of things. With that, he is not sure if this will still work for him.
