"Rick and Morty" episode 7 titled “The Ricklantis Mixup” aka “Tales from the Citadel” is considered to be one of the best episodes of the show. After that, fans are looking forward to the next episode expecting more exciting scenes.
First, let me give a brief recap of what happened in episode 7. The latest episode featured the politics in the Citadel of Ricks. One of the Morty's won as president but it was later revealed that the new president isn't really one of the Morty's and he is actually Evil Morty.
The next episode won't be dealing with Evil Morty, his real intentions or his true connection to C-137 Rick.
Instead, it will talk about something new that fans will find interesting.
Episode 8 trailer
Adult Swim released the trailer for the next episode titled "Morty's Mind Blowers." In the short clip, it shows Rick and Morty running around a labyrinth of stairs while being chased by a creepy looking being.
Morty was holding the Truth Tortoise and Rick warned him not to look at its eyes. But Morty couldn't resist the urge to stare at it. After looking at the eyes of the green tortoise, something strange happened to Morty. He even said that he couldn't go on like that with the "truth tortoise ***" with his head.
To solve the problem, Rick takes him to a laboratory which is presumably located in a garage or a basement.
He said that it is the archive of all his experiences that Morty asked him to remove from his life. Rick added that he calls it Morty's Mind Blowers and that they will do it instead of the Interdimensional Cable.
Speculations
Some theories indicate that Morty feels sick after looking at the Truth Tortoise because he could remember some memories that Rick hid from him.
Morty is also featured in the video with eye bags which shows that he wasn't able to get sleep because of the memories he remembers.
Viewers are interested to know what these memories could be. Will we have the chance to see some secrets from the adventures of "Rick and Morty?" It appears that the next episodes will feature some unseen adventures from the duo.
Fans are also expecting that there will be no Interdimensional Cable this season. The show's co-creator Dan Harmon clarified that they did not make one for season 3 but they did try a different take on it which is featured in "a somewhat anthological episode."
Do you want to see what "Rick and Morty" season 3 episode 8 has in store for its viewers? Stay tuned when it airs on September 17, Sunday on Adult Swim.
