CarterMatt shared that the forthcoming “NCIS” season 15 episode 2 is titled “Twofer.” Spoilers suggest that Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Tim McGee will be asked to undergo a psychological evaluation after they successfully escaped the South American jungle. The pair needs to prove that they are physically, emotionally, and psychologically ready to pick up their badges and get back to work again.

The news outlet also confirmed that Laura San Giacomo will be reprising her role as Doctor Grace Confalone. The 54-year-old actress’s character is expected to help Jethro and Tim get back to work after suffering great trauma.

“NCIS is called in to investigate when the body of a missing Navy Lieutenant who disappeared a year and a half ago is located by a cemetery grounds crew while they are relocating caskets on the property,” the official synopsis of "NCIS" season 15 episode 2 read.

“Also, Gibbs and McGee must pass a psych evaluation with Doctor Grace Confalone (Laura San Giacomo) before officially resuming all work responsibilities,” the rundown went on.

Previous reports suggested that Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) will be summoned to appear at a congressional hearing to explain the failed mission in Paraguay. There were also speculations claiming that Nick will be blamed for Jethro and Tim’s sufferings at the hands of the rebels.

Mark’s role could change

Meanwhile, Closer Weekly previously claimed that Mark Harmon’s role in “NCIS” season 15 could possibly change. The news outlet shared that agent Jethro Leroy Gibbs could probably stay more in the office after getting a promotion. In other words, fans can expect fewer action scenes involving the veteran actor in the show’s upcoming new installment.

There are also speculations saying that Mark might retire from acting soon due to his potentially failing health. An unnamed source even told Radar Online that the 66-year-old star has informed his wife, Pam Dawber, that the series’ 15th season will be his last. The tipster even claimed that the veteran actor has a lot less energy lately.

While these speculations could possibly be true, it is important to note that Mark Harmon has yet to confirm or deny these claims. “NCIS” season 15 is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, September 26, on CBS.
