This year's "Wonder Woman" is arguably one of the best films to come out this year, earning over $800 million globally and quickly becoming the favorite of both critics and moviegoers. The Gal Gadot-led and Patty Jenkins-directed film that arrived in June proved that DCEU can get things right following the gloomy adaptations of "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," the latter of which was highly criticized.
In November, the DCEU is once again set to bring back these superheroes in a blockbuster called "Justice League," which is expected to be another one of the biggest films of the year.
Now whether or not it will match the success of "Wonder Woman" remains to be seen, but recently, Gadot and Ben Affleck, who reprises his role as Batman, shed light on how their characters have changed since their previous films. As for Gadot's Diana Prince, viewers know that it's been about a hundred years since they saw her beginnings in Themyscira and her battle during the World War. Here's what the actress had to say about her character.
'Woman' to bring her wisdom to the 'League'
In a recent interview with Us Magazine, Gal Gadot spoke of how her character will influence the "Justice League" superheroes. She shared that Wonder Woman is "grown up" in the upcoming film and that she will "bring her specific qualities to a group dynamic, and she understands the enemy better than anyone else." The enemy in the upcoming film is Steppenwolf, who under the orders of Darkseid is threatening to put an end to the world. Of course, Wonder Woman and the rest of the League are coming together to stop him.
Batman is 'finding hope' amidst attack
In the upcoming "Justice League," Ben Affleck's Batman is tasked to assemble a team of superheroes to defend the Earth from Steppenwolf.
But his demeanor seems to have changed since the death of Superman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Affleck told Us Magazine that in the previous film, he was "at the end of his rope."
However, in the upcoming film, Batman is "finding hope again." He's also learning how to deal with other people, as seen in the first trailer, in which Commissioner Gordon tells him, "It's good to see you playing well with others again." The upcoming film will see the return of Affleck and Gadot, as well as the introduction of Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Ezra Miller's The Flash, and Ray Fisher's Cyborg. Henry Cavill's Superman is also set to rise from the dead and return, while fans are also anticipating a seventh "Justice League" member to be introduced. The film opens on November 17.
