Jennifer Lawrence sat down for an interview with E! News reporter Catt Sadler, and the two talked about motherhood in light of her new flick “Mother!”. Lawrence said she no longer finds motherhood appealing as she has grown older.
The 27-year-old revealed she is not feeling a sense of urgency when it comes to having children. She noted that the pangs are “actually getting less and less as I get older.” Lawrence revealed that this worries her because she thinks that is not how it works.
When did Lawrence feel like she wanted to be a mother?
Aside from talking about not feeling the urge of having kids, Lawrence revealed that when she was around 21 or 22 years old.
During that age, it was the time when her wish of becoming a mom was skyrocketing.

As for her thoughts on her new film, which was directed by Darren Aronofsky, whom Lawrence is in a relationship with, Lawrence said that she thought it was too dark when she first read the script. According to Harper’s Bazaar, she also stated that she did not even want the script in her house because of how dark it was.
Lawrence talks about her boyfriend
The two have been dating for a year now. She called Aronofsky unafraid, bold, and a genius. She also revealed that she always wanted to work with the director.
Lawrence touches on the subject of fame
The Oscar winner also talked about her fame.
She said that at first, she questioned how the rest of her life was going to be. Now, she said she is more patient with fame, and she gets time off from it to assess her life.
She went on a break from Hollywood before she started promoting her new film. Lawrence is best known for her role in the "Hunger Games" franchise.
Lawrence on the gender pay gap
After the Sony e-mail hack years ago, it was revealed that Lawrence was getting much less than her co-stars in “American Hustle” and since then, she has spoken openly against the gender pay gap. In her interview with E! News, Lawrence said that she does not know how much her “Mother!” co-star Javier Bardem was being paid but she believes the Gender Pay Gap is slowly closing now in Hollywood.
She noted that the paycheck she got for “Mother!” was something she thinks she deserves. She did say, however, that if Bardem was paid more, she might have made some calls about the issue. Lawrence also stated that she believes there are more things to do to close the gender pay gap in Hollywood really.
“Mother!” has been out in theaters last September 15.
