Beyonce’s husband Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter surprised her during his show on Sunday, September 3 in anticipation of Beyonce's 36th birthday on Monday, September 4.

E! Online reported that the male rapper made the birthday surprise during his show at Budweiser’s Made In America Festival held in Philadelphia. It is a festival that was personally founded and organized by Jay-Z.

The romantic act was complete with the participation of the audience as they all sang “Happy Birthday” on stage, which was remixed from the original song.

The proud husband and father said, “Shout out to Beyonce.

Beautiful Bey is in the house tonight. Happy Birthday my love.”

Their daughter Blue Ivy was also in the audience during the show, E! Online said.

Insiders told E! News that the international female singer and her daughter were dancing as the award-winning rapper performed on stage. Their twins Rumi and Sir were reportedly not present at their father’s concert in Philadelphia.

Pre-birthday celebration

The performance was held a day before Beyonce’s actual birthday, which was Monday. But the couple already spent a lot of time together prior to her special day.

Sources revealed to E! News that the two watched a performance of rapper 21 Savage earlier that day, and the couple appeared very romantic during the event.

They were both delightful, as Jay-Z reportedly met with the other artists who were present at the show.

The weekend was also spent with their children. E! News also reported that the couple were with the twins last Saturday, September 2.

Surprised by friends

New York Daily News reported that even Beyonce’s friends surprised her during her birthday.

The official website of the female singer showed a group of photos compiled by her friends and family, inspired by her outfit in the “Formation” music video.

Her friends and relatives teamed up to give a unique birthday tribute for her. The photo collage included their names and faces wearing a Wild West-inspired hat and outfit.

It stated, "Happy Birthday Beyonce From Your Family and Friends." NY Daily News said it was also posted as a statement for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Recently, the singer expressed her sympathies for the victims of the recent tragedy that happened in her hometown of Houston, Texas. Hurricane Harvey devastated the region with heavy rains and massive flooding, destroying numerous houses and property.
