Recently, Reddit user abdo0000 came up with a bizarre and funny theory about the lovely Hot Pie from "Game of Thrones." Here's how the young baker unwillingly caused the destruction of the Wall and the invasion of The Seven Kingdoms by the Night King and his army.

Seriously?

Obviously, our dear Hot Pie hasn't helped the Night King on purpose. But he may have done a great favor to him!

Remember when we saw Arya again for the first time in "Game of Thrones" season 7? The young Stark is heading towards King's Landing to kill the Queen, Cersei Lannister. Arya stops by the inn in which Hot Pie is working as a baker, where she meets her old friend again. The baker is the one who tells Arya that Winterfell is no longer ruled by the Boltons. He is the one who explains to her that Jon Snow defeated the Boltons in the Battle of the Bastards, becoming the King in the North shortly after. As soon as Arya knows what happened, she abandons her plan to kill Cersei to ride back home.

Hot Pie changed the history of the Seven Kingdoms

As Redditor abdo0000 noted, if Hot Pie didn't tell Arya the truth about Winterfell, Arya would have carried on with her plan. Which means:

  • Cersei could be dead now.
  • Jon and his companions wouldn't have gone beyond the Wall to capture a wight to prove to Cersei the existence of the White Walkers.
  • Thoros and Benjen would be alive.
  • Viserion would be alive.
  • The Night King would be stuck beyond the Wall.
  • The Seven Kingdoms wouldn't be facing the greatest threat since the Long Night.

Is it all Hot Pie's fault?

This funny theory by abdo0000 fueled other Redditors' irony. Is Arya's friend in league with the Night King? Is he actually a Targaryen? Is he Azor Ahai?

The other users' comments are just too funny. Here are a few of them:

  • "What if HP is in league with the Night King and is going to eat all the food in Westeros to weaken them before the invasion?"
  • "Of course he's a secret Targaryen and wants the throne for himself."
  • "The pie that was promised"
  • "A song of ice and hot pie"
  • "No, a song of ice cream and hot pie"
  • "What is hot may never pie"
  • "What is bread may never fry"
  • "Azor Apie"

It's clear that the young baker is not actually a villain who is in league with the Night King and is secretly planning his own conquest of the Seven Kingdoms, but it's funny to take a break from serious "Game of Thrones" theories from time to time. It's going to be a long wait until season 8, after all. May Hot Pie forgive us for all the jokes. Long may he bake!
