Game of Thrones Season 7 finale left many fans with a lot of cliffhangers and everyone hopes to get some answers when Season 8 premieres hopefully in 2018. We saw how Viserion that now releases iced-blue-smoke destroyed one barrier in The Wall through the Night King’s command. The penultimate episode saw Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer) and Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) while they struggle to escape from the top of The Wall. The army of the dead was seen marching towards them and while the wight dragon was destroying the barrier, the episode ended.

So, will Beric and Tormund survive?

Beric and Tormund’s survival will be unfortunate

In HBO’s blog Making of “Game of Thrones,” Kristofer Hivju, 38, hinted that Season 8 may not treat his character well including Richard’s Beric Dondarrion. He said that they have been waiting for this moment and it’s apparently not good news especially when they are on top of the ice wall watching the zombies approaching. "The wight dragon is probably the most horrible sight you can never get; it's not good news, so it was an intense sequence,” he said. “But running around the set was amazing."

The scene in The Wall ‘doesn’t look good’

“Game of Thrones” Season 7 finale that featured The Wall apparently doesn’t look good according to Kristofer Hivju.

He went on to say if Berric and Tormund die next season, he only wishes one thing – that Tormund was able to let Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) know that he loves her. We have seen the warrior showing his affection to her although the big woman doesn’t seem interested. However, we all know that it’s just some kind of a hard-to-get stance.

The bloodbath

Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow, recently told fans to expect a scene of carnage in “Game of Thrones” Season 8. His character was confirmed as Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen’s trueborn son, therefore making him the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. Harrington went on to say that there will be more major characters to die soon and it will be “very quick.” Theories have it that Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) will be the one to kill his twin sister Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).

Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) may also not survive in “Game of Thrones” Season 8, according to a fan-made theory that links her to her direwolf, Lady. The direwolf was killed by Ned Stark (Sean Bean) as a punishment when Arya’s (Maisie Williams) direwolf, Nymeria attacked Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson). Jon Snow is suspected to be immortal, and ice resistant and if he is, then, he should be the one to face the Night King.
