“Game of Thrones” fans briefly rejoiced during the Season 7 finale when Cersei assured Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) that she is sending the Lannister force north to fight with them against the White Walkers. Tyrion even tried to convince his sister to unite with them despite the possibility that she might have him assassinated for killing their father.
However, he told Jamie (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) that Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek) already sailed back to Essos to pick up The Golden Company. Recently, Lena Headey just made fans buzzing over her comment about the Lannister queen’s plan.
Cersei’s secret
During “Game of Thrones” Season 7 finale, Cersei revealed to her twin brother that she already agreed with Euron that The Golden Company would take down whoever lives in the Great War against the undead. She has sent the Greyjoy guy to get more forces also to defend King's Landing once the Long Night sets in. Lena Headey recently cautioned fans that her lies will stun everyone.
“I think her lie will be very shocking,” she said in the TV & Satellite Week's latest issue. “Cersei is such a b***h.”
Cersei might be shocked too
However, the queen herself might also be devastated once she learned that The Golden Company, a group of sellswords have already made a pact with Jon Snow that they are fighting for him. Her revelation to Jamie disappointed a lot of “Game of Thrones” fans especially when Euron said at the Dragonpit that he would sail back to the Iron Islands, leaving them behind. Unknowingly, Cersei made plans with him behind Jamie’s back that made the Kingslayer furious. This is the reason that he is already skeptical if he is really the father of Cersei’s unborn child.
Theories have it that it’s possible that the father could be Euron Greyjoy given the idea that they have been seeing each other without us knowing.
Will Jamie eventually kill her?
Recently, “Game of Thrones” actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau told InStyle that it’s possible that Jamie might end up killing his twin sister. However, his supposed unborn child might be the game-changer although it would make sense if he murdered Cersei. The Kingslayer killed the Mad King, and it’s not impossible that if he also kills the Mad Queen. The only wrinkle in this possibility is the baby Lannister that’s coming.
“Game of Thrones” Season 8 production has reportedly kicked off recently. Fans hope that the show returns to the small screens in 2018. However, HBO previously announced that it might take them until 2019 to wrap up everything.
