“Game of Thrones” Season 7 finale ended with a lot of cliffhangers, and if you expect to get some answers by 2018, you may have to wait until 2019. HBO has previously announced that it might take them two years to wrap up the filming for the show’s eighth and final installment. We saw how the now ice dragon Viserion destroyed one huge barrier in The Wall with the Night King in command.
The Greyjoys, Olenna Tyrell, and the Martells have also made a pact with Daenerys Targaryen to fight together against the White Walkers. Recently, one of the surviving characters in the show announced that he had joined the cast of another show, which can also mean that he died during a brawl against Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen).
Did Harrag meet his end?
During the season finale of “Game of Thrones,” the Targaryen fleet that was carrying the Greyjoys, Olenna Tyrell, and the Martells en route to Dragonstone were assaulted by Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek) with his Iron Fleet. Theon’s sister, Yara, was held captured by Euron and decided to save her sister after talking to Jon Snow. He confronted Harrag (Brendan Cowell) and told him that they would have to save Yara from the hands of his uncle. However, the Ironborn raider refused and told him that they would sail east to look for a remote island to escape the White Walkers.
"They say the dead can't swim. We're going to sail east, find a nice quiet island, kill all the men, and take their wives for ourselves,” Harrag told Theon.
However, he told the Ironborn raider that they can no longer do these things as Yara already had an agreement with Daenerys. Harrag still refused and spat on him, where they started to brawl, with the Ironborn raider tried to kick him in his genitals. “Game of Thrones” fans know that Theon doesn’t have it already. There, he had a chance to tackle him to the ground and blew him down, where he appeared to be dead.
Brendan Cowell joins another show
Recently, Brendan Cowell announced that he is now part of a new BBC show titled “Press” that follows the story of two competing newspapers. His “Game of Thrones” character, Harrag, was beaten by Theon during the season finale and it’s possible that he died after sustaining terrible injuries.
Given the intense and chaotic episode the season finale delivered, it’s possible that Cowell’s Harrag was another casualty of the show’s brutal deaths. What do you think?
“Game of Thrones” Season 8 is expected to return to the screens in 2018 or sometime in 2019 with only six episodes. The production is set to kick off in October 2017. Stay tuned!
