Last week, singer Fergie and actor Josh Duhamel announced that they are ending their marriage of eight years. The statement released by the ex-couple states that the duo separated "earlier this year," however, some reports claim that the split happened a while back. Initially, the separation was kept private so that the two could take some time to adjust to their own lives. However, the 42-year-old singer revealed that with time, it was getting "weird" for them to keep this news a secret, as people would ask them romantic questions all the time.

When asked why they announced the news now, she said that "there’s no perfect time, so we just decided to do it.” In their joint statement, the former couple also stated that they will always be around to support "each other and our family."

Stacy Ann Ferguson, better known as Fergie started dating Josh Duhamel in 2004 after Fergie and her band "Black Eyed Peas" made a cameo appearance on Duhamel's show, "Las Vegas." The two became engaged in December 2007, and in January 2009, the duo tied the knot in a Catholic ceremony at Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu, California.

The couple welcomed their only son, Axl in August 2013.

The 42-year-old American singer looked very glamorous in a black dress and heels at The Tuck Room in New York. The singer was on the red carpet at the premiere of "Double Dutchess: Seeing Double" visual experience, a movie which is a part of her upcoming album. She has also been sharing some teasers from the film for her fans on her Instagram account.
