It appears like rumors won't leave Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani alone. A source claimed a few days ago that the couple has called it quits after almost two years of dating. The source claims that the two have been fighting over Gwen Stefani's relationship with Blake Shelton's mother.

Inside Blake and Gwen's rumored breakup

“[Blake] felt like he had to stand strong and put an end to the fighting,” a source told OK magazine. “Everyone’s saying he can be persuaded to try again. He clearly loves Gwen."

The magazine also noted Blake Shelton's absence from Gwen Stefani's social media accounts.

In fact, her last update with him was a boomerang post uploaded on August 4. The couple, however, were spotted looking so in love in Oklahoma on August 19.

Their rare public appearance has caused fans to speculate whether the couple is headed for splitsville. The "God Gave Me You" crooner, however, is no longer affected by these breakup rumors considering how he and his girlfriend have become a regular subject of gossip reports for the past two years.

Hence, the male crooner thought these rumors were ridiculous before he assured that "he has never been happier, more in love, or more secure" in a relationship.

The source continued, "Blake is used to all the attention that comes with being in a high-profile relationship, so he shakes it off."

The source explained that the country singer has a lot to handle in his career, while the former "No Doubt" vocalist has to balance work and motherhood.

"If they can’t be together for a few days, it is really no big deal," the source explained.

It added that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani trust each other that there is no need for them to see each other every day. Similarly, the couple constantly communicates to check up on each other.

Blake reacts to Gwen's rumored pregnancy

Before there were rumors of a breakup, the "Hollaback Girl" singer had been reportedly "giving off pregnancy vibes" and that the country crooner has refused to confirm nor deny these claims. While it is still unconfirmed if the couple is expecting their first child together or not, Blake Shelton reportedly thought it would be a blessing to become a father.

"But he also is keeping things close to his vest when it comes to confirming anything, and at the same time he isn’t denying it either," a source said.

The source also added that the male singer has no problem with pregnancy rumors as Shelton and his longtime partner are excited to welcome their first child if the reports happen to be true.
