Blake Shelton is reportedly planning something big this Christmas, and an insider revealed that it has something to do with Gwen Stefani. The two, who became a public official in November 2015, have always been proud of their romance despite being a regular subject of breakup rumors.
'The Voice' couple to take the next step in their relationship?
In fact, the couple has said that their relationship is "stronger than ever" amidst reports claiming otherwise. A source recently told Hollywood Life that Blake Shelton had started his preparation for the Christmas season as early as now.
Since he and Gwen Stefani are still on break from their "The Voice" gig, the "God Gave Me You" crooner currently has all the time on his hands to prepare for the holidays.
"Blake is pretty free to the world, and he is already thinking of Christmas,” an insider told the publication. "Because when "The Voice" ends it is usually a week before Christmas and Blake don't like last-minute planning. He likes being Santa Claus and also wants to spoil Gwen.”
When asked if the male singer could be planning to pop the question to his longtime girlfriend, the source clarified that it is unlikely to happen anytime soon. It, however, hinted that Blake Shelton could be preparing for a romantic getaway with Gwen Stefani during Christmas break.
“But a trip and being together and celebrating is something he wants to plan now with plenty of time on his hands," the source added.
Inside Blake and Gwen's relationship
The couple met on the set of "The Voice" after the No Doubt vocalist joined the coaching panel following the departure of Christina Aguilera in 2014. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton become closer on the show although both of them were still married to Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, respectively.
The "Hollaback Girl" artist, on the other hand, gushed about how the reality competition has changed her life in a good way. "Before that, I couldn't write. I wanted to, but my life was just so…I don't even know how to describe it... It just wasn't happening, and I was so insecure about it, and then, it just opened up. It was like this channel just opened up," she said as per E!
