In August, Hollywood sweethearts Chris Pratt and Anna Faris broke hearts the world over by announcing that they were separating after eight years of marriage. The general tweeting public went on a frenzy, declaring their belief in love was shattered by the news. The pair released similar statements, except that Pratt's ended with a sentence that said they "continue to have the deepest respect for one another."

The pair stopped talking about each other or their relationship after the split, but fans are expecting to hear more about it from Faris, who is set to release her memoir, "Unqualified," this October.

She has already been speaking out about relationships in her podcast, "Anna Faris is Unqualified." In this week's podcast, she admitted that releasing a memoir is "scary" because this time, she's baring her true self, contrary to playing a role on the big and small screens.

On Wednesday, the 40-year-old actress was photographed for the first time without her Wedding Ring, PEOPLE reported. Pratt went sans wedding ring during his appearance at this year's MTV Movie Awards as well.

'Mom' star spotted in LA without wedding ring

"Mom" actress Anna Faris was recently spotted out in Los Angeles, where she was seen without her wedding ring. E! News reported that while she and Chris Pratt are going to counseling together, it doesn't mean that they are getting back together or calling off the divorce.

A source said, "It's nothing to do with them as a couple—they are not trying to get back together or save anything." Instead, the pair wants to learn how to co-parent their five-year-old son, Jack, in the midst of the separation.

According to Us Weekly, Faris wrote in her upcoming memoir that "The idea of your mate being your best friend—it’s overhyped.

I really believe that your partner serves one purpose and each friend serves another." She initially believed Pratt could be her best friend and admitted that she realized the importance of having female best friends as well.

Former couple shattered people's belief in love

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris's separation sparked outrage from fans of the pair, who were always commenting positively about each other on interviews and red carpet appearances.

Their separation fueled talk about how Twitter users felt about other celebrity marriages, calling out couples like Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, and Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis to remain married and restore their faith in love.

Twitter users were quick to comment that it was Pratt's fame that got in the way of the relationship, given that he's the face of not one but two blockbuster hits, "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Jurassic World." Some were also quick to assume that it was Pratt's chemistry with "Passenger" co-star Jennifer Lawrence that caused a rift between him and his wife.

Faris's memoir, "Unqualified," arrives on October 24.
