“America’s got talent” season finale concluded on Wednesday, 20th September. Viewers witnessed what most publications describe as the “Battle of the Preteens.” Towards the end, the competition between 12-year-old singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer and 10-year-old singer Angelica Hale took place. Farmer burst into tears when she was announced as the winner of this season’s “America’s Got Talent.” She was pictured holding her puppet close to her and thanking the audience.
Her reward for winning the show was a prize of $1 million. She has also been presented the opportunity to present the official Las Vegas show, according to a report by CNN. She will be present for two shows. “The moment when @ItsDarciLynne‘s dreams became a reality,” the official Twitter account of "America’s Got Talent" read.
Hale congratulate Farmer
Second runner-up, Hale was a sport when it came to this. In fact, she herself is a big fan of Farmer. She took to her official Instagram account to congratulate Farmer. She posted a picture of a crying Darci with the caption, “Tears of joy!! Congratulations @itsdarcilynne, I heart U!” Popular singer Kelly Clarkson, most popularly known for her hit single, “Stronger,” went ahead to present the opportunity to all three runner-ups to perform at her show.
Kechi Okwuchi along with Darci Lynne Farmer and Angelica Hale will be making a special appearance at Kelly Clarkson’s next performance. The Las Vegas performances will take place on November 3 and 4. When Darci was asked how she felt about winning the show, she replied, “First, I’m absolutely giving money to the mission program at church. Second, I’m definitely going to give my mom a dishwasher because it doesn’t work and we need a new one. Then I want a pug really, really bad.”
Mel B's future on the show
Meanwhile, a report by The Sun states that Simon Cowell has decided to extend Mel B’s contract as the judge of “America’s Got Talent.” He has apparently made an offer of roughly 1.8 million pounds to Mel B for this purpose.
Mel B is currently tangled up in the divorce drama with her ex, Stephen Belafonte. She is even being speculated for having an affair with a cop. An insider states that Simon has really been there for Mel. “He cares about her a lot. He thinks she is very talented and a brilliant judge. It’s her natural place to be back on the show next year and he’s insistent he gets her back,” the source added.
