However, it appears that not everyone has high praise for the movie as actor Kirsten Dunst revealed in a recent interview. The actor showed a flippant and rude attitude towards both the film and Marvel Studios. Tom Holland has responded to Dunst's comments with an intelligent and mature reply.
Dunst made some rude comments about 'Spiderman: Homecoming'
According to INC, actor Kirsten Dunst who played Mary-Jane Watson in the past "Spiderman" movies has commented on the latest revival of the franchise.
In an interview with Marie Claire, the actor was asked for her opinion of the new movies and fans were shocked at what she had to say.
Dunst stated that the "Spiderman" movies she acted in were clearly the best of the franchise. She then went on to add that Marvel Studios could continue to make as many superhero movies as they want but hers were by far the best of the lot. She stated that the studio is simply making more movies about Spiderman because they want to make more money.
The star stated that she did not care about the revival of the franchise in the slightest and her off handed comments about Marvel Studio's certainly will not earn her a guest role in the next movie. Dunst shows a clear jealousy of the "Spiderman: Homecoming" and appears bitter that she was not invited back for the franchise's return.
Holland has made a statement about the comments
According to Games Radar, Tom Holland was quickly made aware of Kirsten Dunst's comments about his latest movie "Spiderman: Homecoming." Fans of Holland have been wondering if Kirsten has started a feud with fellow actor Tom Holland and have been eagerly awaiting for a reply.
Tom Holland stated that he saw and read what Kirsten Dunst had to say about the movie and reassured the public that he is not just doing the movie for the money.
He explained that as an actor you have to take jobs in order to pay the bills but that for him "Spiderman: Homecoming" meant so much more.
As for how he feels about Kirsten Dunst, Holland has stated that there are no hard feelings between the pair explaining the Kirsten is entitled to her own opinions about the movie. He stated that it does not affect him slightly if Kirsten Dunst does not want to go see the movie.
