The latest updates for "The Flash" Season 4 will feature the show's tone based on Dc Rebirth and how Barry Allen's time in the Speed Force changed him as a person.
Flash Reborn
It seems that the premiere episode of "The Flash" season 4 will likely take cues from the DC Rebirth storyline and teased a more fun and optimistic worldview similar to the show's first season. Grant Gustin told Comic Book during an interview that "Rebirth" will influence the show's direction and it will be shown in each episode.
"It's almost like a fresh start for me as an actor this year," Gustin said.
" The first episode is called 'Reborn,' and it's our take in Rebirth, and it gives me an opportunity to let go all of the weight that we've built up and have held onto."
With that being said, not only will the showrunners make season 4 more fun again, but audiences will see Barry forgive himself for the mistakes he has done in the past and tries to moves on and have a happier future with his family and friends.
Of course, season 4 will not mirror much on "Rebirth" in one regard as the show will not feature speedster villains and instead Team Flash will face The Thinker. The show will also introduce new characters such as Elongated Man and Hazard.
A more "positive" Barry Allen
Barry Allen's return from the Speed Force will likely show new powers, and a new found perspective of himself and those around him.
Gustin stated in an interview during San Diego Comic Con that Barry will be more positive regarding facing his problems, no longer brooding over them and giving him a new lease on life.
The past season of "The Flash" saw Barry's growth as a superhero and at the same time falls victim to the hardships and sacrifices that one makes in dealing with his problems, thrusting him to see the world in a much darker tone.
With his found knowledge and experience in the Speed Force, it seems that Barry will apply what he learned and appreciated what it did for him as the story continues.

Barry in this season will not be "himself" as Gustin explains that audiences will see him kind of confused and jumbled since his absence.
Barry's hopeful nature is one of the key ingredients that defined The Flash in any media whether in the comics, animation or the movies.
Audiences are excited to see the Scarlet Speedster's new adventures with Team Flash as the show premieres on Oct. 10 on the CW Network.
