Taylor Swift has dropped her latest single from her sixth album, “Reputation,” and it has received so much interest as her fans were obsessing over what it would be like. Thanks to her newly released song “Look What You Made Me Do,” the long wait is over and we are absolutely overwhelmed at how much her music has changed.
Taylor Swift still mad at Kanye West?
We are aware that Taylor Swift has two famous feuds going on. One with Kanye West and his wife, Kim Kardashian and another is about Katy Perry. Although the singer-songwriter has been silent about these issues for a while, the song says it all.
The tune of her new music is very different from her love-in-the-air vibe that we knew from the past. It is darker and more vengeful from what we heard in “Bad Blood”.
Although the performer did not mention Kanye West’s name like he did to her, the lyrics are quite on point especially when she sang “I do not like your little games, I do not like your tilted stage.” The rapper did use a tilted stage during his recent Saint Pablo tour. The song also has a part where Swift is seemingly singing through a phone saying that the old Swift is gone for good which is a good reference for Kim Kardashian’s leaked audio of the musicians’ conversation.
Swift has made extensive changes to her music. She started out under the category of country music and slowly moved on to pop until it was full-on pop when she released her 1989 album with the singles “Shake It Off” and “New Romantics.” This time around, she seems to be trying out the dance music genre because “Look What You Made Me Do” has a hint of Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy”.
Swift wanted to tease her fans with intriguing moves
The “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer also took great steps to promote this sixth album by deleting every picture she ever posted on Instagram, removing all following accounts and posting short videos of snakes to tease fans of what was to come.
Then the rumors came out that Swift and Katy Perry would be performing together at the VMAs to possibly pour water on fire.
Unfortunately, executive producer, Jesse Ignjatovic, said that the singer did not have any plans to perform with Perry at all.
Taylor Swift might not be hitting the stage but with the nomination of the song “I Don’t Want to Live Forever,” a collaboration between her and Zayn Malik, it is still possible that she will make a great comeback with her new music album.
