Taylor Swift is managing to stay in the headlines even though she is not active on social media anymore. For the past weeks, Swift has been in the headlines because of her ongoing trial case against former DJ, David Mueller. The jury favored Swift and found Mueller to be guilty of sexual assault and battery. Amusingly, the "Blank Space" singer only asked $1 for the fines. She has then pledged to help and empower women who were victims of sexual assault. A few days after winning the trial, fans were surprised to discover that Swift has deleted or deactivated all of her social media accounts.

According to CNN, Swift's Instagram, YouTube, Tumblr, Twitter and official website have all gone black.

Celebrities like Taylor Swift thrive in and need social media to connect with their fans and promote their projects so her current move seems to be a bit off. However, her fans also called "Swifties," believe that there's something symbolic going on.

New Taylor Swift album coming?

With the singer's sudden withdrawal from social media, a lot of fans have been making their own theories and speculations. Most of the speculations lead to the possibility that Taylor might be building up hype and excitement for her upcoming album.

She is scheduled to release a new album by late 2017, and although it is still quite early for the album to be released, many of the fans are already speculating that a new T-Swift album is about to drop soon.

Highly-observant fans noticed that Swift's social media purge falls on the same date that "Shake It Off" premiered. "Shake It Off" was the chart-topping debut single that launched her latest album, "1989."

Possible victim of hacking

Since reps for Taylor Swift have yet to comment on the current unavailability of all her social media accounts, the fans are left to give their own theories or speculations about the matter.

Some are even worried or concerned that Swift's social media accounts might have been hacked.

However, it looks like fans are choosing the brighter possibility, and that is Taylor Swift's new album might be coming soon. In fact, the hashtag #TS6IsComing is already trending on social media, clearly showing that the fans are really excited and hopeful for the new album.

Fans have clearly missed Taylor Swift as it has been already three years since she released an album. Her latest contribution to the music industry was her duet with Zayn Malik for "I Don't Wanna Live Forever," one of the OSTs for "Fifty Shades Darker."
