Almost all, if not all the 1990's kids know about the blonde and blue-eyed twins of "Sweet Valley High," Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield. Known for their outstanding beauty and charm, the Wakefield twins can be considered as part of the 1990's pop culture. Although they look the same physically, Jessica and Elizabeth have different personalities. Jessica is a partygoer, spontaneous, mischievous and the life of the party, while Elizabeth is more studious, conscientious and typically branded as a goody-two-shoes and serves as her twin's conscience most of the time.

After how many reboots of different series and movies, it looks like "Sweet Valley High" is finally getting its turn.

According to Huffington Post, "Sweet Valley High" movie adaptation is under way. This is definitely great news for the fans who grew up with Jessica, Elizabeth and all the other characters in Francine Pascal's created universe.

Paramount Pictures in-charge of movie adaptation

According to Deadline, Paramount Pictures has tapped Kirsten "Kiwi" Smith and Harper Dill to co-write the script for the "Sweet Valley High" Movie Adaptation. Smith has worked behind "10 Things I Hate About You" and "Legally Blonde" while Harper Dill has worked for Fox's sitcom, "The Mick."

The "Sweet Valley High" Book Series has an impressive total of 603 published books and the fans are excited to find out whether the movie will be a little bit of the 603 books or if there;s going to be a whole new storyline.

Further, the set-up of the movie also remains to be revealed, so it's still unclear whether the viewers will be treated to a throwback 90's storyline or if the SVH characters will be modified to fit the current times.

Possible cast for 'SVH' movie adaptation

Since the movie adaptation of the popular book series is still in the early stages, the casting is also believed to be on process.

It's still unknown whether Paramount will cast real life twins to take on the role of Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield or give the twin roles to one actress - a la Lindsay Lohan in "The Parent Trap."

Possible non-twin actress to play the Wakefield twins includes "Girl Meets World" actresses, Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter or "Dance Moms" star, Chloe Lukasiak.

Real life twins Camilla and Rebecca Rosso might also be the top-runners on the list of possible actresses to play Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield. The Rosso twins are best known for their roles as Jessica and Janice on "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody."
