Leaks and theories about "star wars episode 8: The Last Jedi" never seem to seize as new reports about Han Solo being in the film have just surfaced. It is now speculated that Harrison Ford's character might return as a ghost not to mention that he will play a crucial role in the new sequel.
Ghostly comeback
The latest intel came from no other than "The Last Jedi's" director Rian Johnson in one of his interviews. He gave a head's up though stating that he has to be very careful with his words as he does not want to mislead the fandom. He then revealed that a "figurative ghost" of the space smuggler will be seen all throughout "Episode 8."
Johnson added that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) was definitely "knocked off base" with him getting beaten by Rey (Daisy Ridley), the destruction of the Starkiller Base, and most importantly, the murder of his father.
The director further explained that killing Han Solo was the antagonist's "defining act" and he believes that it is "more interesting to dive into."
Ridley, on the other hand, also mentioned in an interview that her character was in grief and was later on turned into anger after what Kylo did to Han. That being said, this feeling has augmented Rey's will to set her crosshairs towards the big baddie as she could not fathom the idea of him killing his own father.
What Johnson implies in his statement is that Kylo Ren has been weakened by what he did to Han. As a result, the aforementioned ghostly apparitions of his dad could be haunting him in the film and these flashbacks might be the one to change his fate in the inbound sequel.
It can be recalled that Adam Driver previously hinted about his character's fate as he described it as something "unexpected."
Toyline hinting some movie details
Meanwhile, "The Last Jedi" toyline has been giving away hints about the film as Snoke's (Andy Serkis) Throne Room playset is now believed to be containing an accessory known as the Sith Cauldron.
The device was depicted on the playset as a blue-colored circular object and is believed that it might be used to spy on both Luke (Mark Hamill) and Rey in the upcoming film. The cauldron was featured in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" where Palpatine and Count Dooku used it to call on the witches of Macbeth to snitch on Yoda.
