Robert Pattinson began dating English singer-songwriter FKA Twigs (née Tahliah Barnett) in 2014 and proposed to her in April 2015. The couple keeps their relationship low-key in an attempt to protect each other from the people whom the actor calls as a “crack group of crazies” or the “professional trolls.”
During a July interview with Howard Stern, R-Patz said that he is still “kind of engaged” but also made headlines when he was photographed with Katy Perry during a cozy group dinner in West Hollywood. His fiancée in response was also spotted out and about with a French model in Ibiza, Spain last week.
Now, it seems that their engagement is finally over.
R-Patz engagement to his fiancée is “officially off”
Life & Style's source reports Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs’ relationship started to go shaky when the actor asked his “Twilight” co-star and ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart for an advice about his career. “Rob and FKA’s engagement is off. Rob really thought he and FKA would get married, but things have changed,” the source told Life & Style. “He’s trying to get to a certain level of stardom.”
The source went on to say that R-Patz believes that he can learn more from his ex-girlfriend, which is one reason why he’s been in LA most of the time. However, the insider revealed that the couple is still together but their relationship is already hanging.
It can be recalled when another source also told Hollywood Life that things between Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are “basically over” adding that they are just sorting everything out before going public. Asked by GQ Magazine whether he is getting married, R-Patz can only say “Eh.”
His answer made fans believe that something is wrong with them and it’s possible that their wedding plans have been canceled. In fact, the last time they were seen together was in May 2017 during a day filled with PDA.
Is this the end of R-Patz and FKA Twigs era?
Robert Pattinson is pretty busy promoting his newest flick “Good Time,” which premiered on August 11. During the movie’s premiere party in New York City, FKA wasn’t with him and some eagle-eyed fans noticed R-Patz is happy — he was even partying with the celebrities who attended the party.
Apparently, fans were quick to speculate that while the “Twilight” alum is busy with his new film, his fiancée is also busy with his new found friend in Ibiza. The French model, Brieuc Breitenstein was photographed nuzzling into her hair during their day out.
