Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and Ian Somerhalder are rumored to be reuniting in “The Originals” Season 5. However, recent reports are claiming that the girlfriend of Glenn Powell is not joining the spinoff series at all.
‘The Vampire Diaries’ actress not returning on small screen yet
Nina Dobrev confirmed in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly that she would not, in any way, appear in “The Originals” Season 5. According to the former sweetheart of Ian Somerhalder, she has a lot of things on her plate right now that she cannot commit to becoming a part of it.
“But, yeah, no, I’ve been so busy with all kinds of other things going on right now that I don’t know that I’d be able to sign on,” Dobrev said. The former co-star of Paul Wesley added that she could no longer portray the role of a vampire as she is getting older.
The revelations of Nina Dobrev came several months after Julie Plec claimed that her character would be revived in the spinoff series. In fact, “The Vampire Diaries” showrunner told Entertainment Weekly, in a separate interview, that there are still a lot of uncovered stories for “The Originals,” which widens the possibility of having a reunion with Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and Ian Somerhalder.
Aside from her hectic schedule, rumors are also claiming that Glen Powell could possibly be Nina Dobrev’s yet another reason for not joining “The Originals” Season 5.
Reports have it that the “Scream Queens” actor might not be comfortable seeing his girlfriend doing sexy scenes with other men.
While these reports could probably be true, it should be noted that neither Glen Powell nor Nina Dobrev has confirmed anything as of yet. Hence, fans should take these speculations lightly.
Dobrev, Powell’s romance
Meanwhile, Life & Style shared that Nina Dobrev and Glen Powell started dating in December 2016. According to the publication, the “Let’s Be Cops” actress and the “Hidden Figures” star have been seeing each other for quite some time already, given that they share the same circle of friends.
Reports have it that Powell likes Dobrev very much as she is his type of girl.
The Bulgarian-Canadian actress, for her part, also loves the fact that “The Expendables 3” star is a very family-oriented type of guy.
In other news, Nina Dobrev has revealed that she also have cheat days even if working out is a big priority for herself. Just Jared even reported that Glen Powell’s girlfriend misses the gym at times especially when she is not in the mood to work out.
